Shakesphere mocks passion through the characters in Romeo and Juliet by how Mercucio's death mocks Romeo's passion, how Romeo and Juliet attempt to harm them selves and eventually do, and that Romeo and Juliet's love only last 5 days.

"Romeo and Juliet" is a play about two star-crossed lovers who in the end died trying to be together but still something good came from their death, so in the end I believe passion is a good thing.

In rich families an arranged marriage is usually setup so wealth can stay in the family. Juliet’s first mature move she makes is marrying Romeo on her own. She does not get her parents approval for the marriage nor does she care that her parents are foes to Romeo’s parents. Juliet engaging in matrimony shows that she’s developing her own mind set of choices. Juliet can start making more decisions for herself instead of her parents making the judgments in her best interest. “But my true love is grown to such excess I cannot sum up sum of half my wealth.”(2.6 33-34). Juliet is saying she is rich emotionally, for if she didn’t marry on her own she wouldn’t be this happy.

Juliet is a very kind-hearted and cute girl, you can see at when she first meet Romeo. She answers what Romeo ask her, like Romeo asked,"Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?" Juliet answered what she think,"Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in pryer."

In Romeo and Juliet, passion is certainly a main theme, but was Shakespeare approving to act out of passion or was he mocking others who did? All of the main events that happen in the book happen out of passion, including the death of Tybalt and the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. But was Shakespeare showing how strong someone’s passion could be, or was he showing how weak a person’s mind could be? In Romeo and Juliet, I personally think the Shakespeare is showing approval for passion, and how strong someone’s passion for someone or something can be.

Alfred Nobel was a passionate Swedish chemist who invented a powerful bomb known as TNT. When he created this bomb he knew he made something terrible that he couldn’t uninvent. Alfred Nobel then decided to have the Nobel awards which would celebrate people’s contribution’s to bettering humanity. From this horrible mistake came something good. This transition from something bad turning into something good also happens in “Romeo and Juliet” “Romeo and Juliet” is a play about two star-crossed lovers who met an untimely demise when trying to be together forever, the passion they had for each other was immense and out of their deaths came peace between two enemies. Though sometimes passion can lead to something bad, as long as the passion held was for good intentions, something great can come from that bad thing.

"O, think'st thou we shall ever meet again?" (3.5.51) Is one of the last lines Juliet says to Romeo. She made a decision to marry and love him even though their families hate each other Juliet didn't allow her parents' opinion of the Montague family effect her. Juliet thought on her own in this decision without anyones consent. She figured out how to think for herself. In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet matures by the end of the book; she learns to make decisions on her own, to seek the best in people and not just the bad, and to not allow others threats and judgements affect her.

Kids usually start to mature the most when they are teens but it doesn’t usually just happen in a couple days; they mature over years. Shakespeare is known as one of the best play writers ever. Romeo and Juliet is one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays. He has many different plays and in those plays, many different characters. Each character in his plays has different physical and mental characteristics. By the end of the play Romeo and Juliet, Juliet matures from a young girl to an adult.

Romeo and Juliet passionately love each other but they kill themselves because of their love, so does the play "Romeo and Juliet" critisize or approve of passion. When Romeo and Juliet commit suicide to be together in death, at least they were happy. Their deaths make the two families who hate each other, set aside their differences. Romeo and Juliet passionately love each oher. I believe that "Romeo and Juliet" approves of passion.

In Romeo and Juliet, there are a lot of emotions fill into the whole story. Some of them are good, but others show people’s bad personality and actions which are not great. And in the entire book, the play seems to express a criticism of passion, to make Romeo and Juliet not a perfect sad romantic story.

If look up the definition of passion in the dictionary it says,” Passion: Strong and barely controllable emotion.” Is Romeo and Juliet a play on the criticism or approval of passion, in my honest opinion I think it was an approval of passion and I will be telling you three reasons why I think that it is an approval of passion, the first reason of why I think it is an approval of passion is because the friar thinks that if Romeo and Juliet get married it will end this dispute between the family of the Capulet and the Montague, the second reason of why this is an approval of passion is because of Juliet’s passion towards Romeo, the third reason of why this is an approval of passion because of Romeo’s passion towards Juliet.
