There is a difference between joking around and bullying. Joking around is different, because it would generally be between two friends or people who know each other well. When people are just joking around, they know that the other person is just poking fun and doesn't mean what he or she is saying. Also, joking around is usually more mild and not stress-causing as bullying is. Bullying is often between people who are not friends, and the victim is stressed and may not know whether the bully actually means what he or she says.

I think that there are two very important differences between bullying and joking around. The first difference is the relationship between the two people. If the two people are not friends, then it is considered bullying because a person that is not friends with someone would not be joking around with them. The second difference is whether the actions truly cause harm to the person, If what the bully is saying to them causes harm to them and makes them truly feel bad, it is bullying even if the two people are friends. However, if the two people are friends and what is said is clearly a joke and the victim does not really feel bad, it is not bullying. For the second question, I believe that if someone hurts your feelings it is automatically considered bullying. It doesn't matter if someone was joking around if they hurt your feelings, mostly because if someone hurts your feelings they probably are not joking around,

The dfifference between bullying and joking around is that joking around is only okay if the person is not self-conscious about the characteristic your poking fun at. For example, if someone is very self-conscious that they are overweight you can't call them a fatty. That would be bullying. It is only okay if they accept the fact and poke fun at it themselves. If someone offends you and then just says they are "joking around" then shake it off. It is obvious they were not looking to hurt your feelings so don't let it get to you.

I think that the difference between joking around and bullying is that, when you are joking with someone, they are laughing too. Bullying is when you target someone and joke in such a way that you are actually hurting them, physically or emotionally. If someone justifies bullying me by calling it joking, I would tell them directly that I didn't think it was funny and they have to stop. If they continue what they are doing then I wouldn't consider it worth my time to argue. I would just walk away.

The difference between "joking around" and bullying is that joking around usually happens with someone you know. Usually your friends would just joke with you or about you and you wouldn't really care. However, bullying is when the victim doesn't really know the bully. Bullying also happens over and over again whereas joking around is probably just a one time thing. Joking around and bullying can be the same thing though because even though someone is joking with you, you may take it to offense and it can hurt your feelings.

The difference between bullying and joking around is intention. If the person was intending to make fun and believed the other person would laugh along, in a friendly way, then it is joking around. Joking around is what you do with your friends or what comedians do on Saturday Night Live. A bully, on the other hand, has the intent to really hurt someone and make them feel bad, not laugh alongside them about it. Some people can be extremely sensitive about people joking about them, and interpret it as bullying, but if the intention was true and you actually cared then you could say you were joking. But some people do say thait was a joke as an excuse. For me, is someone was being insulting, my reaction would depend on who it was: my friends wouldn't have an intention of being mean so I wouldn't really be upset, and someone I don't know wouldn't matter so I wouldn't particularly care.

If you think about, there is no difference between bullying and joking around. Even though someone can be bright and humorous, and understand that it is joking around, there are those who are quiet and senstive to what people say. Even though it can be just a joke, anything and everything can be taken the wrong way. Serious tones usually mean that the person is no longer joking around and that their feelings could really be hurt. If someone is bullying you and they think you're taking it as a joke, you should tell them politely, but sternly to please stop.

Bullying is when you are intentionaly trying to hurt someones feelings."Joking around" is when you make a joke to a friend. when someone hurts your feelings and they say they are joking around you should tell that it was mean and disrespectful to your feelings. You should then walk away.

Joking around is when two or more friends are poking fun at each other without any harmful consequences. Bullying is when a person intentionally hurts the person phyically or mentally. When the friends are joking around, they know which things are hurtful to the other and to stay away from that topic while during bullying any topic is dicussable.

I believe there is a small difference between bullying and joking around. Bullying is something that happens repeatedly and is meant to be hurtful either emotionally, or physically. Joking around is an act that occurs between friends. It is not meant to be taken personally, it's just something friends do. If it does hurt your feelings though, you should tell them to stop and explain that it hurts your feelings, and if they don't, they aren't your true friend. If the joking continues you should tell a teacher or adult so that something can be done about.

The difference between joking around and bullying is if someone is hurt by the words or actions of the other person. Then the joking around becomes bullying. If the person said they were just joking around you should forgive them the first time but if they keep on bullying you, you should tell them to stop or ignore the person so they would stop talking to you.

Bullying is when people intentionally hurt other people with their words or actions. When someone shows such actions unintentionally, then they are "joking around", however it is difficult if not impossible to tell the difference if you are not directly involved in the conflict. It is a shame that people are bullied, and sometimes they can't do anything to stop it. However, the most effective way of stopping a bully is to be confident and ignore him or her. The bully is expecting a response from the victim (that's what makes them feel "good"), but if you do not respond, the bully will eventually give up.

Bullying and joking around are two different things, but there is a fine line that shouldn't be crossed when joking. Bullying usually occurs between people who don't know each other very well. Bullying hurts a person emotionally and/or personally. Bullying usually is a reoccuring thing that won't stop unless you stand up for yourself. Joking around is with someone you know, a close friend. The other person doesn't take offense to what you are saying to them. The intentions of joking are not meant to hurt the other person at all. But you do have to be careful with what you say when joking around, otherwise it could hurt your feelings. If it does hurt your feelings you should confront the person about it because if you don't they won't know it bothers you. Also they might bring up that topic again, and it will keep bothering you.

The difference between bullying and "joking around" comes from the matter of consent. It may be considered "joking around" if both parties involved like what is going on and want to continue. It would be bullying if one of the groups does not like what is going on and does not wish to continue while the other continues anyway. There is a fine line between these two types of behavior and one can often be mistaken for the other. Also, "joking around" can turn into bullying if it goes too far, as it often does. If someone hurts your feeling or says something offensive and then justifies it by saying that it was just "joking around," you should just let them know that you did not like it and ask him or her not to do it again, so that he or she know their error and may not repeat the offense. If he or she is rude about your wishes, the best thing to do is just leave, for clearly this has moved into the realm of bullying.

There's a point where 'joking around' turns into something far more nasty and vindictive. Joking around is simply a term used when people enjoy this light teasing and don't mind that it continues to go on. There's no malicious intent involved during this. Even if someone accidentally says something to offend another peer, it can still be considered 'joking around' because the remark was not made with the intent to hurt. However, bullying is something much more aggressive. When bullying, the offender goes out with the intent to hurt either you or a peer. This is no longer just a simple laughing matter, and cannot be brushed off as such.

There is a major difference between joking around and bullying. When someone is joking around with someone else, both people are fine with this "joking around". Neither person feels victimized or discomfort. When someone is bullying, the victim feels discontent or discomfort while the other is "joking around". Usually, the bully hurts the victim physically or verbally. if someone is bullying you and then says that they were just "joking around", you should just ignore it. If the actions continue and/or get worse with the same excuse, then you should seek the help of an adult.

There is definitely a difference between joking around and bullying. Joking around is when two friends are both involved in the situation, without a victim, and even the person who is getting made fun of is laughing. Bullying is when there is clearly a victim and it is obvious that the bully intended to hurt the victim, either physically or verbally. If someone offends you and says they were messing around, most of the time it is usually best to move on and forgive them. If you are friends, they did not have bad intentions.

I believe there is a big difference between joking around and bullying. Bullying is intentionally saying mean and negative things to another person to hurt their feelings. Joking around is between two close friends, that know they are just kidding when they insult or play around with the other. Joking around with friends is not usually mean enough to truly hurt someone's feelings while bullying is intense and can lead some people to suicide. If someone hurt my feelings or offended me, but says they were just joking around, I would insult them back until we both finally agreed we were kidding, but I would be upset and hurt but eventually know if they were truly kidding or not. If they just said that and weren't kidding, I believe I would say something to their face and confront them about what they said about me.

The difference between bullying and "joking around" is that when someone is "joking around", both the people think that the topic is funny. When only one person finds like "joke" to be funny and it leads to them making fun of the person until it is not fun anymore, that is when it becomes bullying. If someone hurts my feelings or offends me in some way and then claims to be only "joking around" I usually laugh it off. However, if someone has taken the joke too far or will not stop doing what ever it is that hurt my feelings or offended me, than I speak up for myself so that the person knows not to do it again in the future.

Joking around is when both people know the statement being made is a joke. It is not meant in a mean or hurtful. Both people are usually good enough friends that the person being insulted won't take it seriously. Bullying is when the statement is intentionally being said to hurt or upset someone else. Bullying usually occurs between people who aren't that close or dislike one another for some reason. Bullying can be triggered by jealousy, insecurity, or simple cruelness. If someone hurts your feelings and says they are just joking around I think you should respond by just telling the person you are hurt by their remark. If they really were joking around, they will take your opinion into consideration and not make the statement again. If they were saying a mean statement intentionally, they will most likely say it again, especially if they know it upsets you. Being straight forward is the best way to deal with that situation.

First of all, motives play a big part in differentiating between bullying and horsing around, not just on the part of the bully but also on the part of the victim. We have no solid way of knowing whether malicious intent is involved or if the victim is simply a crybaby or a tattletale. Obviously the victim has a right to complain if he or she actually feels mistreated or discriminated against, but sometimes he or she might just be overreacting to an innocuous comment. In some cases, the "victim" is not hurt at all but might even be trying to get a friend or acquaintance in trouble for their own pleasure. In these cases it is hard to tell just who the bully is.

I think that joking around is inbetween two friends, when both parties agree that it was all in good fun and not meant to actually offend. But if one of the kids, doesnt think its joking around than its not, its bullying
