Your assignment: In 4-6 sentences, describe a topic in the The Hunger Games that was interesting to YOU. Why do you find it interesting?
Today we discussed something that I found interesting in The Hunger Games: the power of the media. The media (including TV, internet, newspapers & radio) is the avenue through which we learn about the world. Therefore, the media is VERY important in our lives. Does it report on events accurately? Honestly? How much control does the government have over what the media says? This was an issue raised in The Hunger Games that I found interesting.

A topic that i found interesting is the fact that some districts have some unfair advantages against other districts. Some districts are more wealthy than other districts so they can train their kids better for the hunger games. Also, some districts have better food and clothes because the are wealthier. more people in different districts get sick and die more than other districts.

One topic in "The Hunger Games" that I found interesting was the actual hunger games. I found it interesting how they would take one boy and one girl from each of the 12 districts and they would be sent to an arena and have to fight to the death. I found this interesting because we do not do this in America or mostly anywhere else in the world. That is why i found the topic, the hunger games interesting.

An topic that i found interesting was the fact that even though you could not train for the hunger games they still had some people that did. I found this interesting because of the fact that the capital is so in control why would they let that get pass. Also where would they train with out getting caught with spears and thing. That is one topic that i found interesting

A topic that sparked my interest was the change between the districts. In the Career districts being picked for the Hunger Games would be an honor but in District 12 it was like a death sentence. Another change Katniss’ world and what’s outside the district like the change between District 12 and the Capitol such as when Katniss was in the pristine elevator in the Capital and compares it to the dark and sour smelling elevator in District 12.

In the book they touched on the topic how each district is known for doing something different. I found that interesting because when they came into the games some of the districts had more advantages and disadvantages. In the district Rue was from they were known for hunting and gathering berries and roots so when she came into the games she had an advantage because she was able to keep herself fed. When Katniss came into the games, she already had experience with hunting with a bow and arrow so therefor when she came into the games she was able to hunt and keep herself fed as well as kill other tributes. I wonder what the other districts advantages were that kept them alive for so long.

One of the topics I found interesting in this book is how the Capitol has so much power. I would like to know how the capitol came to so much power and everyone their is so wealthy. In most of the districts they are so week and poor like district 12,in a few districts people are very wealthy like district 1. This whole book I was wondering why the other districts were teated unfaily depending on what type of job the Capitol gave them. All the districts seem to powerless against the Capitol no matter which district they are. In this book almost everything revolves around what the Capitol decides, I thought it was interesting how the Capitol has so much power over everything.

One of the topics that I found interesting in "The Hunger Games" was that all of the districts were not equal in power. I found this interesting because knowing the capitol and all the power it has, you would think it would give some of the lower class districts some money or something to help them out. Since all of the districts are all together in one continent, they should all be working together to help everyone out instead of being selfish and not caring about how poor some of the districts are. I could understand that the capitol has the most power because the capitol is basically like the president of America having alot of power. That is why I found the topic on how some of the districts not being equal in power is interesting.

A topic that I found interesting in The Hunger Games was that in the future it is so much different than it is today. In the book the capitol makes a game where people are chosen to fight to the death. We would never have to do that today. Also they have a lot of futuristic stuff but the people are still not living well, they still have to hunt for food. That is what I found interesting in The Hunger Games.

Something that i found interesting is how districts are being treated by The Capitol. The way i see it, it seems like The Capitol is treating them as if they are nothing. They make 24 kids risk their lives for The Capitols entertainment as if they aren't worth anything. Also, I can't wrap my mind around the idea that President Snow like to see people getting hurt and dying and knowing that he caused that. I don't know how he could live with himself knowing he caused people pain and still do what he does to more people the next year.

Something i found most interesting in the hunger games was how the world was different from today. how everything was separated into districts and how they had to fight in the hunger games on live television and kill each other. how some ditricts have to hunt for food when we don't. that is what i find interestingin the hunger games.

I haven't finish this book yet.So now,I found it interesting topic is that the world is unfair to the district 2-12,people don't care others who will in danger, espeasially the Capitol,it's not a peace world. But when Prim's name be called,Katniss wasn't think about herself even if a while. She loves her sister a lot, more than herself,it's the real love, not just speaking.

Something I interesting was, some people in district found they will be dead in HUNGER GAMES.But some people thought they can be the winner,so they will kill other people.Everyone will life in the woods by themselives. And most of them didn't want to go to the HUNGER GAMES.I think is unjust for the people who lived in district.

The one most interesting thing about this book was how the capitol controlled everyone. There is no choice or say in the hunger games. I thought it was interesting they could force their people into a game of death. This surprised me when I started reading the book. The only freedom they had of not going into the games is either their name isnt pulled from the random box of names, or if someone said they would represent their district.

One topic that I found interesting in "The Hunger Games" was how much the capitol effected the actual games. For example they created the forest fire so that Katniss would be closer to the other tributes. They also made the rule that there could be two winners if they were from the same district just so Katniss and Peeta would find eachother and the viewers would be entertained. Than they tried to cancel that rule in the end to try to pin them against eachother. I thought that that was a very interesting topic in the novel.

What I found most interesting in this book "The Hunger Games" was how oppressed they were. The capital sort of ruled everything and depressed the people. They had no say in how there government was to be runned. And yearly the government would pick children to go into an arena to be killed, Now thats cruel. So that was what I found interesting in this book

What i found interesting about the hunger games was that the age of the kids in the Hunger Games were mostly younger than me. Also i found the way the government had so much control over what happened on the news, like how they did not show the silence of the crowd. Another thing i found interesting is the way they gave unfair advantages in the games like the career tributes already being bigger. Those are some thing is found interesting about "The Hunger Games".

one topic i found in the hunger games is how Katniss and Peeta's relationship during the Hunger Games changed the way that Katniss regarded the Capitol.

One thing I found interesting in the book was that all of the district were different, not just a little but so different that it is almost like each district is its own little country.i thought this was interesting because now in the U.S. we have states with differences, but they all still have some things in common. but in this country the districts are completely different , and have almost nothing in common.
