During Homers time women's cultural values were different that tody. Back then their life was all about getting married and finding a husband. Today women want to be clean and look good but, back then that is what they had to do to get married. Also today many women are different, they wear different clothes and some women dont even get married. If you were seen with a man back in Homer's time, people would think you were having a relationship with that person. Now you can be friends with men and women and people would not think that.

I think that some of the veiws have changed but some have stilled stayed the same. For woman of Nausicaas time it was important to get married. I feel that today it is still important but you arent frowned apon if you don't get married. At Nausicaas time all girls were expected to be pretty. Now I feel like girls in this time do have pressure to be pretty. Nausicaa always had to be neat and I feel that is something that is still very important today for are time. Durning are time it is normal to walk around and hang out with guys and to be friends with them but in Nausicaas world if you were seen with a guy you may be asked questions or people would wonder if you were in a relationship.

cultural veiws about women in homer's time are different to today's because women don't always have to look pretty in today's time. they can not be married and can do whatever they want and be with any guy they want.but the things that are similar are that women still get pentalized for being with a certain amount of men or something like that and it's not fair. women should be aloud to do whatever they want with any man but no they are called things that are not nessessary. even back in homer's time they were look at bad for it just alittle bit worse.

I think that women's value's from Homer's time compared to our time are pretty simular. In Homer's time women wanted to be beautiful, clean, be married to a noble man, and they cared about what their mother thought of them. It seems like those values are a lot of women's values today as well. Most girls want to be pretty, clean, have their dream wedding, and make their mother's proud of them. All of these are good values to have I think, but there are some other things that women value now that women didn't valuie in Homer's time. Such as being a good person, and being smart and independent. So for the most part the values are the same, but women now also want some other things too.

The cultural values about women in Homers time are similar and different from our cultures about women today. One cultural value about women in Homers time and our time id beauty. Beauty is a highly respected value of women in both cultural societies. One cultural value bout women that is different from Homers time is marriage. Today, we don’t value marriage as much as they did in Homers time.

I think that standards for women are different now then they were in Odysseus time. If you don't get married, you won't be judged badly during this time. Some women might not want to get married and want to live independent. The time of Odysseus, if women didn't get married, the family wouldn't be pleased and would be embarrassed by their daughters actions. When a woman got married during the time of Odysseus then that would be a huge honor and accomplishment. They would try and marry someone wealthy and noble but now women want that but their happiness come first into finding a husband.

I feel that women only caring about marriage is not exactly the same in this century, then in the ancient Greece times. Women are really starting to care more about education and college and jobs these days. But for some girls they are focused on finding a perfect husband and the perfect marriage. Mostly these days women are more focused on being independent, but back then most women wanted to depend on their husband for food and other things. These are my opinions based on my opinion of what i have seen.

I think that there are some similarities and differences based on values that women should have. In Odysseus's time, women had to get married. In our time it isn't as big of a deal at all as it was then. Also, in Odysseus's time, women weren't supposed to be seen with men unless they were in some sort of relationship. That completely changed now, women can be seen with anyone that they want to. It is similar in a way that in Odysseus's time, women should be pretty. It is pretty much the same now that women still want to look as good as they can.

The things that are differnt in our thimes than in Homers, are the marriage and the guys and girls being friends. Girls and guys are very good friends, and can stay friends. Were, in Homers times, if you were seen with a man than you'll probaly be having an affiar with him. When it comes to marriage, its not as important as it was back then. Woman gotten very indepent so theres no need for a man. One of the things that haven't changed is the double standered. Guys when seen with 3-5 girls got high fives, and even good jobs. But, when a girl is seen with 2-4 guys she gets called bad names, and is frowned upon.

The standards that are set for women in odysseus'time are that they are neat, and tidy, they also can't ride or talk to other men or they will be thought that there is something going on between that women and the guy she was/is talking too. also the other standards that women have from todays women is that they are more neat, and clean then they were back then.

Women are some what similar and different from homer's time and our time. Some similar ways is that everybody looks for marriage but,it's different because women don't look for marriage when were 14-17 years old in our time. it's similar that every woman tries to looks pretty and to be attractive in some way for the men to be attracted to them. it's different about how every woman acts, they all acts different to get men attention.

In Homers time when women are growing up they are thinking about who they are going to marry and their wedding. Today woman do not spend most of their teenage life worrying about who they are going to marry. something that is the same is that most women do like to stay clean and have a good apperence. I do think that the women who are famouse like the Royal family from England the Queen was probably worring about who to marry and how big the wedding was going to be, I think that is something Royal people back then and Royal people today have in common.

I think that the cultural differances have changed in some ways. I believe that most women want to be married but alot don't. Women today want to look pretty by choice and not expectation. And today you can have friends that are guys and not be looked at in a negitive light. I think that most women do try to please there parents but its not that big of a deal if they dont.

I think they are almost different, but still have something the same. In Homer's time, if there are some questions the men made, people will always find problems on women, instead of men. Because in that time, only men have power, they are the leader, so in people’s mind, they are all right. But now, everyone knows that men and women are equals. For women, it’s quite better than that time. But, there are something still makes me confused. Like women must be clean and neat, or they would make a bad stature in others’ mind. But if there is a man who is not clean or neat, people would say that, “that’s okay, that’s a man!” So, in some ways, there are still something unfair for women, but you can’t say that there is no change.

There are still some ideals that we keep from Homer’s time but many have changed. Something that has changed is the idea that women should be getting married as a young woman; in fact today it is more common for women to marry later in life. One ideal that has not changed is appearance, back then and to today how women presents themselves is a huge part of society. Finally the fact that today you can have friends that are male; in Odysseus’s time the princess was afraid that if the townspeople saw the princess with Odysseus they would think that she was having an affair. The ideas that our civilization have about women have certainly changed although some have stayed with us one way or another.

i think the values of women in greek mythology have change today becasue they are really different.one way that they are different is because in greek mythology women are thought of as evil, and that is not how they are hthought of today.also women areoften forgoteen and they are not even there. one reason that they have not changed is becasue the women gods were as powerful as the male gods.
