My reaction to this story is that it was very confusing and weird. I thought that this was confusing because i couldn't tell if Arnold Friend was actually older than Connie or if it was just her imagination. Another reason why i think it was confusing was the very end because it did not really explain what happened but i think that she ended up going with Arnold Friend. I thought that this was weird because if some random guy just showed up to my house who knew everything about me life and was trying to hide his appearance and look younger.

My reaction to the story was I thought it was surprising and creepy. I was surprising because Connie went outside to Arnold Friend. I thought it was creepy because Arnold Friend knew everthing about Connie. Also I thought that it was creepy because Arnold knew where Connie's family was, who they were, and when they were getting home.

I thought the story seemed exactly like a Goosebumps movie. It had the same creepiness to it as some of the movies. I thought it was crazy when Arnold Friend showed up at Connie's house and knew everything about her and her family and where they were. I thought the end was confusing because I knew Connie had gotten in the car but I didn't know where they were going. I think Arnold had somehow brain-washed Connie into getting in the car and she had no control of what she was doing.

After reading this story, I was really surprised, creeped out and sort of confused. I was confused because personally I couldn't tell if Arnold was a real person, or if he was part of her imagination. I was creeped because the point of Arnold knowing everything about her was just scary. Finally, I was surprised because Connie went with Arnold. I wouldn't even think about the fact of going with him.

This story was confusing and creepy. The part that confused me was where Connie was talking with Arnold friend and when she went inside and got stabbed but she could walk back to the door by herself. This story also reminds me of stories like The Shining and stories by Edgar Allen Poe. This is one real creepy story and it had a suprising ending

This story was really creepy and weird. I was so confused abou twhy he walked funny and he seemed so bipolar. I think that Connies choice wasn't really her choice. It seems as though Arnold was controlling her. I think it is weird also how he is stalking Connie. I dont thik that Arnold is human. This story really creeped me ou t and had a very strange ending.

This was a very weird story. I thought it was confusing when they were talking to each-other. I didn't understand why Arnold was stalking Connie in the first place. The most confusing part was that Arnold knew all those thing about Connie and her whole family. overall i think that this book was creepy and weird.

My reaction to this story is that is was very scary and weird. If I were in her siguation I wouldn't have give down stairs in the first place if a weird car showed up in the drive way. I thought it was very creepy that he stalked her and knew everything about here. I have a feeling he's a 30 year old rapist and since she was stupid enough to go with him shell probally never go home.

I thought that this story was extremely weird and creepy. I really didn't understand why the writer made Arnold Friend know everything about Connie and act the way he did. I thought it was very strange and awkward when he was telling/demanding that she knows he's her lover. I thought it was brave of Connie to go with Arnold to save and protect her family that was always rotten towards her, so overall I think the book was creepy but gave a good message.

I thought this story had a very realistic, but bizarre meaning and was way longer than it should have been. I thought that in the story, Arnold Friend, stands for "An old friend" which was probably symbolizing someone she used to be friends with. The part where she finally goes to him is when she realizes that she has nothing to fear. I also felt that the part where Arnold and Connie were talking dragged on way to long. there were at least 4 pages where all they did was say the same thing over and over again. It was a very creepy novel, but i kept wanting to read more.

I thought the story was really bizarre. To me, it was a little confusing here and there and I didn't understand why Arnold Friend was pressuring Connie to love him. It was odd how he knew everything about Connie too. Also, I think that Connie should've gone to the barbeque with her family rather than stay home because none of the things would've happened in the first place.

This story was very interesting, disturbing, and creepy. Some parts were confusing and hard to understand. I didn't really get the ending to the story, but i think the author wanted that, so we have to think about it. I think I would have done the same thing as Connie but definitely would have locked the door and got some sort of weapon. Overall, I liked the story, but I would have never chosen to read it, unless i was assigned to read it.

I thought the story was really weird. The fact that Arnold came to her door and tried to force her out is creepy. I think Connie didn't really have a choice to go with him, because when you are filled with fear, you don't have good desicion making. You're not on top of your game, and so if she tried to stay it would've just caused her more stress.

While I read this short story I did not understand a lot about it. It confused me when Arnold was going on and on about 'fat people'. Also, I was lost in the story when Connie (?) was being stabbed and she was still alive? I had to read the story multiple times to understand more clearly.

I thought the story was very creepy. Arnold Friend seems like the biggest pedophile when he comes to Connie's door, but then we find out he's just a creep. When they talk outside I don't get why he wouldn’t just tell her his real age, she knew he was older then her. I didn't think Connie didn’t really have another choice then to go with Arnold because he was threatening to kill her family. The author leaves you on a cliff hanger because you don't know where she is going all you are told is she sees land that she doesn’t recognize.
