I think that Romeo and Juliet is a play approving of passion because the characters with no passion were boring, the characters who had passion lived life to the fullest, and the ending had a positive outcome because of passion.

Who are we to blame for Romeo and Juliet’s death, passion or the young lovers themselves? Some might argue that it was no one’s fault but their own, but passion can have a big impact in someone’s life. It’s whether or not that impact is a good thing or a bad thing. I think that Romeo and Juliet is a play approving of passion because the characters with no passion were boring, the characters who had passion lived life to the fullest, and the ending had a positive outcome

I think that Juliet's maturity progressed through three stages throughout the book, the first being innocence, the second being partial maturity, and the third being total independence.

I believe that in the tragic love story Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare criticizes passion because his most passionette characters suffer the worst misfortune, physical violence and death.

In Romeo and Juliet I believe Shakespeare madr the story about both positive and negative forms of passion. In my opinion there is more negative then positive passion.

Romeo and Juliet is a play criticizing passion because it causes Romeo and Juliet to disobey their families, Romeo kills Tybalt and Paris , and both Romeo and Juliet commit suicide, all because of passion.

Romeo and Juliet is ultimately implying that passion is negative by Mercutio and Tybalt's fate, Romeo and Juliet's parental dispute and Romeo and Juliet’s love leading to their demise.

Shakespear wrote Romeo and Juliet as a play with many emotions, including passion. I believe he wrote this play as a approval of passion; not as a criticism to passion.

In the play Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare provides many examples of how passion is both good and band, however, in my opinion, I believe the use of passion, by the characters in the play, to be a good quality to possess.

The dictionary definition for passion is: “any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate”. Passion is used in many every day songs, books, and movies. The play, Romeo and Juliet,is a major illustration of the power of passion, with its strong-willed characters and die-hard lovers. In the play Romeoand Juliet, Shakespeare provides many examples of how passion is both good and bad; however, in my opinion, I view the use of passion, by the characters in the play, as a dominant and unique quality to possess.

A great man once said “Great ambition is the passion of a great character. Those endowed with it may perform very good or very bad acts. All depends on the principles which direct them” Nepoleon Bonaparte. This quote from Nepoleon means that passion can positively affect or negatively affect those around you. Passion is mostly shown in entertainment such as, Plays, movies, books, poems, music, etc. You can also find examples of passion in real life, for example, in a family or a friendship. But passion is mostly found in works of literature, such as works from Shakespeare, particularly Romeo and Juliet. I think Shakespeare is attempting to show criticism in passion in Romeo and Juliet, as shown by Romeo killing Tyblat, the couples committing suicide, and Romeo preferring death over banishment.

In Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare criticizes passion by writing characters who are blinded by emotion, showing that love and passion cause violence, and those who have the most passion in the story end up dead.

In a play of two lovers with a family history of hate an important thing emujers, passion. Romeo, who is a montague, falls for Juliet who is a capulet, the children are in familys that have been fighting each other forever. When Romeo and his friends deciede to be bad and enter a Capulet party, there was a instint spark of passion between the two young lovers. Either the passion was good or bad will be decieded when Romeo and Juliet fall in love.Even though passionet love sometimes comes with pain, responciblty and death, in the play Romeo and Juliet , Shakespear portryas this type of passionet love in a inspringing way.

Romeo and Juliet is a play filled with passion. Sometimes the passion is love and sometimes it is hate. The play is critical of passion as can be seen by the fact that all of the passion leads to death and sadness. Families hate one another fight and hurt each other. Friends like Mercutio who are passionate about their friendship end up dying. Romeo kills Tybalt in revenge for Mercutio’s death and threatens to kill himself when he is overcome with strong feelings. Finally, Romeo and Juliet both commit suicide because of their love for one another. Passion makes people irrational and bad things happen. The play shows all of the faults of passion.

Passion is dangerous, and will do wrong in ones life, as proven in "Romeo and Juliet" when Juliet jakes her own death to her family, Romeo murders Tybalt, and when Romeo and Juliet kill themselves.

Many people think that Romeo and Juliet is mainly about Romeo loving Juliet, but as shown by the Prince, the play is also about Juliet when he says, “For never was a story of more woe/ Than this of Juliet and her Romeo” (5.3.320-321). More specifically, the play is about Juliet’s maturation. Maturity is defined as being fully developed mentally and/ or physically. Juliet demonstrates this maturation many times throughout Romeo and Juliet as she grows from a naive girl, who completely obeys her parents, to an adult who makes individual decisions.

During the late 1500’s, Shakespeare was surrounded by a society of royalty, loyalty, and power. The sons and daughters were expected to listen and fully respect their elders, the daughter helping around the house and the son helping the father and learning how to be civilized and gentlemanly. However, Juliet, in Romeo and Juliet, did not live up to the Capulet Family’s expectations. As she grows up she becomes more of a lady, but not by following the rules. Throughout Romeo and Juliet, Juliet matures from a girl to a woman by gaining the ability to make her own decisions.

“Jump out the window if you are the object of passion. Flee it if you feel it. Passion goes, boredom remains.”-Coco Chanel. Passion is something that can control the way you think or even feel about something. It is overpowering to your will and there is nothing you can do about it. Passion is dangerous and will do wrong in one’s life, as proven in “Romeo and Juliet,” when Juliet fakes her own death to her family, Romeo murders Tybalt, and when Romeo and Juliet kill themselves.

In most plays, books and movies, passion is a theme that is often present, Romeo and Juliet is no different. However, the way that passion is portrayed in the different type’s media varies between it being positive and negative. Sometimes in a story passion is present in the form of something that a character can’t have. In other stories, passion is shown as a great joy shared between two people. In the play, Romeo and Juliet, passion is shown with both criticism and approval, but I believe that passion is shown more positively in the play.

Some may say that in Romeo and Juliet, Juliet turns from a child into an adult, but I disagree. Maturity is being aware of the correct time and place to behave and knowing when to act appropriately, according to the situation and the culture of the society one lives in. In Romeo and Juliet I think that Juliet does not mature, if anything, she went from and adult to a child. Three examples of this start in the beginning of the story when Juliet is obedient and mature to her parents, once she meets her “true love” Romeo nothing else matters but their love, and at the end of the story when she takes her own life without thinking about her friends and family.

The play, Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, is a love story with many emotions and many conflicts. Shakespeare includes hate, love, happiness and sadness in this play, which makes the play a story full of passion. It’s hard to tell if the passion in this play is being criticized or approved. I believe Shakespeare is writing this play as a approval of passion; not criticizing passion. He is approving passion when Romeo and Juliet’s families are blood enemies but they’re still together, when Romeo kills Tybalt to honor Mercutio, and when Romeo and Juliet kill themselves for each other.

Passion is any powerful feeling concerning love or hate. Passion can make people do things that they will later regret and it will make them act irrational. He even goes so far to kill 2 people which cause the death of even more people. Shakespeare shows in his writing that passion causes people to do things that people would not ordinarily do. Romeo and Juliet is a play criticizing passion because it causes Romeo and Juliet to disobey their families, Romeo kills Tybalt and Paris, and both Romeo and Juliet commit suicide.

In every plot, there is a character that grows in the story. In the play Romeo and Juliet, the character who grows is Juliet. Juliet grows from child to adult throughout the play. Juliet says " It is an honor that I dream not of" (1.3.71). In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet grows from child to adult, is in her thoughts about marriage, falling in love with Romeo, and finally marring Romeo.
